My eye doctor called. She wasn’t satisfied with the report the neurologist gave. Time to take-two and try again. She feels the Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension is enough of a thing that I need a second opinion. I told her I would look into going somewhere else and come in to see her for dilation in December or January. Is this really urgent? I hate going to doctors searching for something that may not be there. Should this be my top priority? I feel like my overall health should be my focus. Maybe this is just more anxiety but other things have my priority right now.

Procrastination is real

Now, this call came at the end of August. I know many of you don’t know me but for those who do I always say and it is always true September is my busiest month. I have plans almost every weekend. My daughters have games, events, work picks up for me, and I end up with my own share of events including planning for our church Women’s Retreat that fall every last weekend of September. So many activities end up on my calendar every year even when I try to avoid them.

So life happened and September was busy as always. October brings Fall Break, which here in AZ is just like Spring Break but we have one in the fall also. Also, most of the schools here begin at the end of July so our breaks are 2 weeks long.

As I am writing this I find myself in Mid-October no better and no worse than my very first blog way back in March.

Where did the time go?

How quickly time got away. As I wrap this up I have a plan to call a specialist to get my daughter’s DNA tested for the SDHD gene, check out my story. I think I am going to wait a little bit for that take-two, I am going to wait to call the second opinion neurologist. I feel like if I can lose the weight it will resolve the problem my eye doctor is talking about. I am going to do some research on creating healthy food freedom where my life doesn’t revolve around food but I eat in a way to bring my body a better weight and a healthier long-lasting lifestyle. Hopefully, this exists out there for me somewhere.
